back in the early days of the universe, there were these humongous stars called black hole stars, or quasi stars. They were bigger than any stars we have today. And what made them super special was what they had in the center - a black hole! Yep, these black holes were constantly chowing down on the material from the surrounding stars. These black hole stars could only exist in that early universe, way before elements heavier than hydrogen and helium were hanging around. See, back then, hydrogen atoms were all cozy and packed together, which allowed these massive pockets of dark matter called dark matter halos to pull in loads of hydrogen gas. That's how these colossal stars were born! The sheer size and pressure of these stars caused their cores to collapse into black holes. And those black holes kept growing bigger and bigger by feeding on the star stuff around them. It's like a cosmic buffet for them! Sadly, though, we won't see these black hole stars around anymore. The conditions that created them just can't happen again in the universe. But hey, their existence gives us a pretty good explanation for how supermassive black holes, like the one hanging out in the center of our own galaxy.

I honestly feel like some astronomy is just guess work... If we don't have them, and there's no physical evidence of them, with also no physical evidence of dark matter... How do you say with such confidence and certainty that these things existed?
