born and raised in florida and in my lifetime ive went through so many hurricanes but nothing to the extreme of what I saw yesterday. The insane amount of tornadoes never happens during a hurricane, you will maybe get 1-5 tornadoes during a hurricane. People that thought they were out of harms way got their homes destroyed by tornadoes yesterday. This truly was a statewide event from North to South Florida. Floridians are resilient people and we will bounce back from this.

Yes.Also in Broward, Palm Beach, Okeechobee, Martin counties as well as St Lucie county. Severe damage everywhere .
Breaks my heart, our Big Dog rescue ranch and Furry Friends rescue center in West Palm Beach county, suffering heavy damage. They rescued hundreds of animals from hurricane Helene, filled to capacity.
Please pray for them and these precious animals.

It appears that villages in Henderson County were abandoned hundreds of years prior to Spanish and English exploration in the late 1500s and 1600s.

You must be only weather forecaster that did not mentioned the possibility of tornados. Yes, we could have had it a lot worse, just imaging a Broken Arrow incident during the hurricane.
