Jesus time of prayer was truthfully prior to Him taking on our Sin, and shedding His Atoning blood, which alone saves us from our sin.

He spoke and prayed to his heavenly Father. He had his own will even when he was a human. He could disobay, he could sin, although he did not. He was saying that he was not doing his own will but the will of his Father. He had divine nature, he was begotten son of God, he was the firstborn of all creation. Meaning - he had the beginning. God did not. He died, but God can't die. He was tempted, God can't be tempted. Can God cry while dying - Oh, God why have you forsaken me?!

When God became Man in Jesus He left His Godly powers in Heaven and was fully human on earth - but also still God.
