A short circuit occurs when the current bypasses the intended path and takes a shorter route, causing excessive current flow. For example, if a wire in an electrical circuit gets damaged and touches another wire, it creates a short circuit. On the other hand, an open circuit occurs when there is a break in the circuit, interrupting the flow of current. For instance, if a switch is turned off, it opens the circuit and stops the current flow.

Question please: Given that amperage
is a function of conductor size ( coulombs of electrons) moving.
The question is, in a step down
transformer (2 to 1 winding) known
input 12 volts and 12 amps.
The output would be 6 volts and 24 amps. But amps is a function of conductor size, so how do we know
the true amperage of the secondary
winding?

hi! Gaurav can i request if it possible for you to discuss and enlighten us how to test and value of the earth leakage current. Please discuss also the method of testing to identify the leakage like using clamp leaker current tester by means of flexible clamping (flexible current leakage tester) the 3 phase/line and neutral(for 3-phase) and single line to neutral(for single phase)

Where in open circuit the resistance is infinte and current should be zero and in short circuit the resistance should be zero in ideal case practical low and current should be high.. What about voltage in both condition means its depend on circuit values .. so voltage depend upon the Circuit values parameters
