It’s the hitbox. Every time I stop playing LoL for a while and comeback, I immediately notice how crazy the hitboxes are. We have weird map areas, we have height, we have camera angle changes (ARAM has a different angle), and we have lag/ping that adjust for certain stuff as well. It’s just crazy that people are landing skillshots at all.
