Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I would love to see these reviews done with both you and a higher handicapper. You would show what the clubs CAN do but the higher handicapper would show what’s more likely to happen for those of us who are more likely to hit bad shots.

Would love to see a side by side comparison between the Stealth Irons and the P790s

These irons are incredible. Just took them to the range after 8 years without playing golf. Such a solid feel and consistent. Gives you the confidence to really attack the ball

Thanks Rick, I’m 74 and still play with my 1973 Ben Hogan Apex irons, starburst on the back. The 5 iron is 30 degrees and the wedge, equalizer, is 51 degrees.. How times have changed!, Last year I was given a set of Macgregor M85i irons. Love them, now if you could recommend a driver it would be a great start to the new year!

This is how a true review is done. We don’t need the data out of the studio, we need real life experience. Well done Rick. Looking forward to the next review.

Wow, so glad I watched this and gave these clubs a chance. I was tempted to go with P790s, but just didn't feel my game was quite there yet and felt that I can still benefit from the forgiveness and distance of game improvement irons. I'm not yet at the point of trying to shape my irons, I just want straight, consistent flights. Just got my new Stealths (already had the Driver, added the 3W 3DHY 4-5h and 6i-P) and took them for a long range session. Huge improvement in distance and accuracy. Yes, they are strong lofted, but the launch and trajectory for me are very much in line with the flight and height I'd expect for the given club. I actually hit 2 pins at the range today, sounded like I rang a bell. I've never done that at the range this year in many sessions with my previous clubs (RBZ full set).

Your videos have helped me so much this year. Started out looking to break 100 after not playing for 5 years and now I'm already breaking 90 a couple of months later. I do believe these clubs are going to help me to pretty quickly break 85, since I've finally solved a huge gapping issue I had at the upper end of my bag. Can't wait to see what I can do in the next few years with this set. (Also combined with MG3 wedges and Odyssey 2ball ten triple track putter).

Highly recommend you check out and review the new Stealth UDI and DHY driving irons/hybrids. The DHY is a very forgiving rocket for me. Just short of my 3W distance but deadly straight and accurate with a low stinger ball flight.

Thanks Rick for all your help!

I’m just happy there’s a new video from the main man himself 🙌🏻

I love your reviews. Never arrogant, honest, straight forward, and not interested in placating companies for endorsements. Bravo from Illinois

I can vouch for the “no club can help a bad swing”… 🙋🏻‍♂️

Great review Rick. I like the fact that you give good honest feedback not just what the manufacturer wants to hear.

I've gone from 19 handicap to 10 in the winter thanks to these and a new lob wedge. They're class and very forgiving

Just been to fitting for irons and was alignned with Cobra, Srixon and Stealth TM. I just felt more confident and empowered when I had the Stealth In hand. To me, the price is fair at 850, because it is an investment In my hobby and myself for maybe 8-15 years. I dont intend to throw them out after one season. Big recommendation to try fitting for

These irons looks awesome! I felt that Taylormade took a wrong step in terms of looks for the SIM2 from the og SIM. They've definitely corrected that with the Stealth!
I would love to see a vid of you testing them against previous models in the same category like the SIM and SIM2. Most of the time the year-on-year change is almost negligible in this category IMO. So if you could get the SIM2 or SIM for half the price it would be a much better deal.

I'm still at the skill level where I have to be concerned about the risk of accidentally getting a perfect hit and sending the ball way too far. but that's also a steep price to pay.

Bought these irons about 8 months ago. My wife lets me play everyother weekend. My avarage for a first time golfer is around 100 to 110. Im 6' 245, like to think some what athletic. These babys are awesome. Very forgiving. They do luanch very high with low spin. Fun to play and do recamend. They are expensive but perfect for the 2 to 3 round amonth guy . Everyonce in awhile when hit flush does has some extra juice coming off the face. Be advised. Very high trajectory.

Just completed my once per decade bag upgrade. I selected the P790s and Stealth woods (can’t wait to receive the woods). Upgrading from R11 irons and original Burner woods.

For me being a very high handicapper, I can't justify spending the money on these clubs. For what they are and what they do, I dont think I can say they are too expensively priced overall. Just too expensive for me who just isn't good enough for that price! Great review Rick!

I just got a full bag fitting today and I went with the Stealth irons. The overall feel, forgiveness, and distance was great. I did notice the slight hook Rick mentioned, and I am a bit concerned about that as I tend to hook regardless, but it didn't seem too bad. The stronger lofts seem like an issue around the green, but hopefully my wedges can do the job there. Final thought: these clubs are beautiful. They barely look like game improvement irons. Looks aren't that important to me, but it's a nice bonus.

Looks like a combo of M1 with M2, and also M3 and M4. Those clubs were very forgiving, however I did have alot of Hot shots. Where I would fly the green by 10 yards. Also, punching out from under trees or hazards the ball absolutely flies. It was hard to control distance with the M series clubs when punching out. I am a P790 fan now. If you look at the sole of these new irons and compare them to the M series you will understand what I mean. Like they meshed them together. They were great clubs, but I wanted more control to work the ball.
