MK1 Caddy 3.2 VR6 Swap continues.

We dyno MK1 Caddy with the AAZ Turbo Diesel before swapping in the 3.2 VR6. We also chuck a set of Scale coilovers, rebuild the 02J transmission with a Peloquin differential and discuss a few items that need to be considered when doing the swap.

I had the old 1.6 diesel in my caddy. The AAZ would have been a powerhouse compared to mine. 🤣 I am much happier with my 2.0 ABA.

Where are you guys located? I own a body shop in Bethlehem PA and we’re getting ready to build an 82 Caddy. We’ve got an 03 Gli with a 24v and 6 speed as the donor car. I’m having second thoughts about the 6 sp. looks like everyone uses the O2j 5 sp.

i have a 2002 vw golf 2.0 automatic but i also have a mk3 vr6 2.8l gti manual. would a swap be a bolt on from mk3-mk4? or what other things would i have to do to make a swap like that work?

79.66 at the wheels...….not bad for an engine that made 74 at the crank new, eh ???? I LOVE diesels ! ;)
