How to make Torta caprese
Ingredients :
- 200g (2 cups) of almond powder (poudre d’amande)
- 200g of dark chocolate (chocolat noir)
- 150g (2/3 cup) of butter (beurre)
- 100g (1/2 cup) of sugar (sucre)
- 4 eggs (œufs)
- 1/4 tsp of salt (1/4 càc de sel)
Recipe :
- Melt the chocolate on simmering water and add the butter (faire fondre le chocolat au bain marie et ajouter le beurre)
- Separate the eggs whites from the egg yolks (séparer les jaunes des blancs d’œufs)
- Mix the egg yolks with half of the sugar thee add the chocolate and the almond powder (mélanger les jaunes d’œufs avec la moitié du sucre puis ajouter le chocolat et la poudre d’amande)
- Beat the egg whites with half of the sugar and add to the batter (battre les blancs en neige avec la moitié du sucre et ajouter à la pâte)
- Bake in the oven at 180C (350F) for 40 minutes (cuire au four à 180C pendant 40 minutes)
