This video will walk you through the setup of your One Talk mobile app. Start as you would with any other app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After a few routine download and installation steps, open the app. From here, enter your One Talk phone number and preferred name for the account. Then press “Request PIN.” You'll receive an email with your activation PIN. Enter that PIN number and press “Activate.”

Let's now go to the “Set Up Your Device and Profile” screen to enter a few details about yourself. Then, tap “Done.” The app will prompt you to select one of two calling modes: App Calling (for making and receiving all calls on the app) or Call Through (for making and receiving calls through the native smartphone device). Select the option you want to use. An in-app tutorial provides an overview of Call Through, which we'll cover next.

Call Through uses cellular voice instead of standard voice over IP communications that run over the public internet. That means better call quality. To use this option, make sure to enable Call Through via the mobile app settings in the upper left hand corner of the screen. You will then be prompted to enter or confirm the SIM number, which is the smartphone's phone number. To make an outbound call with Call Through, dial the number in the OneTalk app and then when prompted, connect the call using the interim routing number or IRN. When your call connects, the person you are calling will see your One Talk number. When using Call Through to answer inbound calls on your smartphone, you will hear a prompt that tells you to press the key to connect the call.
Next, up Visual Voicemail. First, go to the menu and select the “Voicemail” icon. This places a call to the voicemail system. Follow the prompts to complete setting up your voicemail. You'll know it's complete when you see a voicemail icon appear. You're now ready to use the OneTalk mobile app.
