He was as tall as a mountain.

He and Echidna are responsible for the birth of most monsters in Greek mythology.

He beat Zeus in a fight and pulled out the tendons in both his arms and legs.

In one retelling, the Olympians literally ran away to Egypt to try and escape him.

And he wasn't killed. They could only trap him under Mt. Etna, and was used to explain it's volcanic activity.

He was the OG Big Bad. The monster that almost beat the gods single-handedly.
