The past is truly so easy to romanticize. I agree that we do ourselves, and the people around us presently, a significant disservice when we compare them with those events from our past. While it's prudent to guard our hearts to some degree, it's also problematic if we don't open the door to our future because we have erected walls on the basis of a tumultuous past. If we're not willing to take some calculated risks in due time as we get to know a potential spouse, we're simply not ready to date yet. It's better not to pursue anything beyond friendship when we know in our hearts that we aren't yet ready to consider possibilities of long-term commitment. In the eyes of the world that may not make much sense, but as Christians, it's important for us to take this into account. After all, we wouldn't want someone else wasting our time either.

I appreciate the video Mark, I think you did a fantastic job editing this one. I am making some progress in editing mine as well and I must say your approach has inspired my style on some level. You set the bar high brother, keep up the good work!

My ex girlfriend cheated on me and I love her with all my heart and to this day I still do. But I cannot return to her since she broke our trust. Its been over three years and I have yet to forgive her. I think it is time to let go and forgive her but I miss those cuddling times we had and well the beautiful adventure. It is tough. This is a perfect lecture, up until now, I'm suffering from trauma I had because of the bullying of my classmates way back to me. I even planned on exposing our convo towards our group chat, on how they pinned me against them 3. I wanna make them feel shameful and regret on what they did to me. I was in the darkness for a long time, unable to move on from the toxic and negative past. It's hard to heal, but with everyday communication with God and meditation, I can say I'm taking baby steps and improving, and slowly, my heart is being cleansed and my hatred and grudge is slowly going out of my heart. Right now, I'm trying to forgive them in my mind and heart, it's hard, cause I know that they Didn't apologized on what they did to me and how they don't care about me, but I do pray for them to forgive them not because they deserve it, but for the purity and forgiveness towards myself. And each time I try to forgive them everyday through prayer 🙏, I feel like I'm going back to my normal state, reaching and creating new bonds with people. Plus, God's words are very timely! I was expecting a relapse from my past and I'm glad I watched this! Thumbs up ☺️☺️♥️♥️

Its so interesting how as a 43 yr old divorced single mom how God lead me to these videos while I've been healing and transforming into a whole healthy woman of God.
