"He clings to what remains of his world because he lacks the power to restore it." Speaking from experience, are we, Solas?

I love how Morrigan still speaks in her own weird way using " 'tis" and whatnot

Imagine leaving a game on a massive cliff hanger ... For 10 years!

Dragon Age voice actors are some of the BEST I've ever heard, especially in Inquisition. And depending on which companions you have in your party, and which options you select, you learn so much! I have seen this scene without Solas, and it's nothing at all like this. And yes, I do love Abelas...btw, why was the Anchor familiar to Abelas? I have so many questions!

Perhaps Abelas suspected who Solas really was but maintained the wisdom of not speaking of it.

Abelas knew Solas is Fen’Harel. He makes a distinction between Elven and Elvhen.

Abelas: “Elven legend (about Fen’Harel) is wrong.”
Solas: “Your people yet linger.”
Abelas: “Elvhen such as you?”

Remember, Elves speak their language imperfectly. It’s just like real-life Latin: Classical (republic and empire) vs Medieval.

Classical Latin gave meaning to how long you pronounced a vowel. “Puella” means girl. Pu-el-lah. But say that “a” longer, like and it means “(from/with/in/by/on) the girl.” Spelled exactly the same way: puella vs puella. Elven vs Elven. Only El-ven vs

Medieval Latin lost those vowel length meanings, and used other words to provide those meanings.

this was so in our faces! and many other little details concerning Solas, but of course you can only understand and see how briliant those details are once you know :)
P.S. LOVE Abelas want to see him again!! 🥰

BioWare needs to bring Abelas back, they even have a better excuse for it if he's killed than the Leliana fiasco.
Also, why would anyone kill Abelas having the chance of getting the well in good terms?

Abelas is such an interesting character. I hope he appears in the Dreadwolf.

Abelas and Solas, the two Welsh-accented elves in Inquisition (joined by Merrill from DA2).

I get the Skin That Stalks (the armor they’re all wearing) is the best armor in the game but damn, it’s ugly—particularly on male characters. I hope DA 4 gets transmog.

Those clothes on a Qunari are terrible

I know this vid is old but I also love how physically distinct the ancient elves are to modern elves. Taller, stronger, they look more like what you sterotypicaly expect elves to look like in High Fantasy whereas the Modern Elves, either because of lack of magick or systemic human abuses, are shorter and skinnier.

Ok so ive always had a problem since inquisition and that is where did humans come from like the dwarfs were around in ancient elven times but no humans or qunari so if solas tears down the veil where do they go are they just gone like humans had to come from somewhere like even the qunari have a possible origin although it only theory in books you pick up in game or from iron bull himself they were somehow created using dragons blood remember i said theory my point been what happens to all the humans are they just blinked out of existence when the veil is torn

Gosh... How I miss proper writing in DA games. Never thought i'd hold DAI in such high regard, but now...after recent events.

He didn't hint anything regarding Solas being an ancient elf. "One of our own" merely points to Solas being an elf.
