Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the tenth instalment in the Battlefield series and the first main entry in the series since Battlefield 4 in 2013 and it was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2016. Battlefield 1 received positive reviews from critics, who saw it as an improvement over the series' previous instalments, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. Most of the praise was directed towards its World War I setting, single-player campaigns, multiplayer modes, visuals, and sound design. The game was a commercial success, selling over 15 million copies, and was followed by Battlefield V in 2018 (Wikipedia 2022).

The Fedorov, Mondragon, RSC, and General Liu are absolutely goated

RSC is a skill cannon. Rewards those with great shot placement. My absolute favorite medic rifle and it's unstoppable in hard-core mode.

I honestly love the Cei-rigotti, its a really satisfying gun. It has a surprisingly fast ttk, and the reaload is so neat (if long). Its probably like the 2nd best close combat medic gun.

The Mondragon may be mid stat wise but the fact that it's got a fantastic firing sound makes it an easy S+ tier for me. Like if your gun doesn't constantly sound like it's actually exploding, why even play?

Great tier list I just have one disagreement overall. In my opinion the fedorov, specifically the optical variant is not just the best medic weapon, but probably one of the best weapons in the game. It has high dps and low bullets to kill at close range and the tapfire is very effective from medium-long range. I think it should be S for sure. Love the vids thanks👍

The M1916 was the first gun I got a service star on. I also am the most hyper-aggressive medic in the world. The RoF can be a problem, but it shreds people if you place your shots in the right spot. It feels like I have killed so many assaults with it in close-quarters.

For the first time I’m watching a weapon Tier List that I can’t agree more with.
I like you mentioned 1907 SL used to be S tier gun. Honestly for me it is and could have easily been included in S tier since every variant is amazing and offers slightly different statistics depending on your playstyle. Sweeper is a low-skill spam cannon. Reletively big magazine size, low recoil, super quick tac reload and fully automatic fire mode makes it easy to use and fairly forgiving medic rifle.
Factory, despite not being fully automatic, has the best ADS accuracy out of these 3 variants and very decent hip-fire. Great all-rounder.
Trench (my favourite) has literally homing bullets. Hip fire on this gun is SICK. I highly recomend it for agressive rambo medics in CQC and people who never takes off their gas masks

im first gonna say that i love your content, and respect you as a decent player. but as a medic main in bf1 and this is by far the tier list i think i have the most disagreements on. I agree the rsc is kinda busted and deserves s tier. But there is another gun that is so broken it honestly shouldn’t be in the game. The autoloading 8.35 marksman is S tier. This gun has one of the highest ttks in the game only beaten by certain smgs, and practically unlimited range. at the tick rate of bf1 servers i have literally been called a hacker for delivering 1 frame deaths at crazy ranges. The 5 bullet clip homestly doesn’t matter if you use a quick peek shoot 3-5 bullets, go behind cover and reload you can easily drop consistent topfrag games. the 8.25 is also great tho, at close range its an easy A tier. selbstader 1916 is honestly D tier if you are playing against competent players, the ttk is way too long. still decent in pugs with bad players tho. The cei rigotti is actually more viable than you might think i would say at least a B tier. The 1907 is a decent A tier except for the sweeper variant. I think you issue with the gun is honestly the fact that the sweeper variant has terrible stats in comparison to the other variants and a good player using a sweeper honestly hurts their gameplay. i would put the 1906 maybe slightly higher, like maybe a C tier but i mostly agree with what you said about it. i know i kinda ripped on the tier list but besides what i listed above i wouldn’t consider it a bad list. Keep in mind im balancing my version of a medic teir list as if all battlefield players have decent aim or gameplay, which many don’t necessarily have in pugs.

As a RSC 1917 Main I laughed at your commenting, spot on! I can visualise that so easy. You shoot them once, they mov- DEAD!!!

Have the same thing with the bullets of the m1917 sl sweeper, they go anywhere, not In the target but when it works its magnificent

I've had similar problems with the m1907. One game it fires straight, next game I can't hit a prone target.

The Farquhar-Hill is my favourite weapon in the game. It is great for clearing the line to get to downed soldiers.

Some notes on certain Self Loading Rifles (SLRs)
*Selbstlader 1906:*
It's no shock the Selb 1906 trends toward the bottom for most, especially because its Sniper variant requires an excessive amount of kills with the Factory; iron sights with a long-range oriented SLR is genuine cringe. However? Upon earning the Sniper variant? It serves well within its niche as Medic's best 60m+ SLR with reliable/consistent TTK up close. Low capacity isn't necessarily a disadvantage when positioned far away where it's safe to reload, and combined with the softest recoil of the 3hk rifles + 300rpm? You can easily surpass Scouts if they're not attentive to lingering within their sweetspots or landing headshots! This is also precisely why it isn't necessarily all that practical though.

Medic's playstyle performs best around medium range, near enough to teammates to provide revives & heals while far enough to dish out precision damage. If you're running around in the backlines as a Scout hunter? You won't accomplish all that much in the end. Still give this playstyle a try! I'd suggest switching out the Syringe for the Rifle Grenade gadget in turn, to flush out enemies or smokes to reposition and block sight lines.

*Cei Rigotti/Mondragón:*
Both the stripper clip SLRs are Medic's most underrated rifles in their arsenal. They excel statistically in every manner to their respective contemporary SLRs, with the only relevant impediment being their 10rnd capacities and stripper clip reloads. They're always viable in PUGs with mindful positioning & paced reloads while remaining remarkably competitive. They're not so unforgiving as the 5rnd SLRs and despite lacking the lax of the high-capacity mag-fed SLRs, the Cei Rigotti & Mondragón find the right compromise to be sufficient if given your patience.

*Farquhar Hill/Howell Automatic:*
A clarification worth pointing out is that these two SLRs are statistically twins with a few negligible discrepancies, so much so? Their relevant differences are mostly their visuals. Keep in mind that the Storm Farquhar Variant and the Sniper Howell Variant are rather subpar, so it's ideal to opt for the Optical or Factory respectively, otherwise Storm if the Farquhar's iron sights are preferable—arguably the sole redeeming feature if one doesn't care for the Howell's AA sights.

*Selbstlader M1916/M1907 SL:*
These are the high-capacity SLRs that trade performance for broad ease of use. They're relatively inadequate within their respective niches, yet despite other Medic Primaries typically surpassing them? They've attributed their renown for being straightforward spam cannons, and sometimes no-frills simplicity is all people need. However? Do be aware that the M1907 SL's Sweeper Variant is a trap. It performs dramatically worse than Factory or Trench in their respective stats, all for the ease of use full-auto feature. If the latter is desirable regardless? To each their own, but the disparity in its consistency is due to the Sweeper variant being deliberately hindered

Lastly? It's more apt to compare the M1907 SL to the Fedorov, due to their identical CQC TTK within 30m. Both start nosediving in damage and BTK past the 30-40m mark, but the Fedorov (mainly the Optical Variant) performs better beyond 50m due to its low recoil, spread, and overall consistency. Their MV is identical too if that's worth noting.

*Autoloading 8.35:*
Mentioned in passing, but implied to be pressing the SLR overall a tier lower respectively, the .35 base variants are borked despite their minuscule capacity. Not enough Players learn that the .35 has a consistent 3hk up to _70m!!!_ And it achieves this all while maintaining less recoil deviation than even the Fedorov! To put this into perspective, its TTK is analogous to the BF4 M416, but extend the damage drop off an extra 40m, and it's also a laser beam. It isn't even debatable, the Autoloading 8.35 (moreso the Marksman variant) is genuinely the most potent 1v1 SLR that even I must admit I despise fighting Medics that know how to utilize it—thankfully they're a rare breed nowadays.

All this having been said? The 8.35 is nevertheless a one-trick pony (an extremely substantial one), and Players must account for its capacity drawback with adequate game sense, careful positioning, judicious usage of a good sidearm, and prudent reload management. While this makes it out to be very skill-intensive? I wouldn't consider the Auto 8.35 a skill cannon persay (that title belongs to the RSC), rather? It's the best coaching SLR to improve Medics on the former skills I've mentioned. Once you've adapted to the Auto 8.35? It makes you better at Medic in general, while not necessarily making the rest of their arsenal irrelevant. Players don't have to use this if it's not their cup of tea, but I do suggest giving it a chance to spice up gameplay!

Minor gun caveat: the mag-fed .25 variant is still shooting a rifle cartridge that was proven for hunting Bears and Deer. To put this into perspective? The .25's metric measurements are (roughly?) 6.5x52mm vs conventional 5.56x45mm NATO. It's a really big and heavy bullet, so certainly not shooting pistol rounds XD

These are just some notes regarding certain SLRs and their perceived deficiencies, not so much addressing whether the tier list is right or wrong. The latter is mostly a personal ranking of what works for an individual person anyway, so I care moreso that Players have info to understand the logic and design behind the underperforming options to them. With these notions in mind? It can help to make the rather intimidating alternatives more accommodating for first-time users.

It's great to see videos are still being made about BF1 in this day and age, a testament to the genuinely fantastic setting and compelling design that still makes it a great game to this day. I'll be seeing ya in the next tier list!

putting the general liu rifle below the autoloading is beyond insane

michaelizda

The Cei actually shreds the only issue is the 10shot per mag, but the ttk when full auto is actually insane the best in the class

I actually loved the selbstlader 1906. It's like a martini Henry in an slr form, it really forces you to be conscious of how you're playing. It's a great challenge and it makes you better at the game. Yes, it's objectively worse than other options, but it's very fun and satisfying to use. Makes every kill much more sweet. One of my favorite moments on bf1 was being aggressive with it on a tdm game on monte grappa, 21 and 1, nothing amazing on the surface but that round was an amazing experience for me.

General Liu is may fav, can turn into a semi auto and bolt action sniper

Selbt1906 can definitely slay in the right hands, from my experience with the factory, it can perform well even at long range, sometimes even better than the RSC

The Farquhar-Hill is my favorite rifle in the class, because it's at least 7/10 in class in most respects: 20 round capacity (9/10, beaten only by the Selb 1916), magazine reload (8/10, along with all the other rifles with that time-saving mechanic), iron sights (aperture + post is a 7/10 for me; I know some prefer buckhorn with this one), bullet velo (10/10, tied with the Mondragón/Liu/Selbstladers, and notably faster than the Howell), damage (7/10, a 3-shot kill is pretty reliable), recoil handling (it's so smooth! 8/10), fire rate, and the sneaky hipfire. You don't win in a close fight against the Auto 8 Extended, Fedorov, or 1907. You don't *always* win against scouts. But you can! And aside from the RSC Optical - which is just plain silly at all ranges - it's the medic rifle I perform the best with. I would argue it's A tier, the Mondragón is B tier, but otherwise this list is awfully close to my personal rankings. Cheers!
