Is the reason why the printer stickers (labels) at work turn black when exposed to Isopropinal (non-drinking alcohol) due to the alcohol also triggering the chemical reaction?

Oh, now I know why when I microwaved a McDonald's hamburger, with the paper around it and paper with the special instructions attached, the special instructions part turned pitch black.

I want to purchase one to print mail labels, and I would then attach the labels using tape… is this not a good idea then?
