Florian from Bome Software gave us a glimpse of the newly updated BomeBox.  

BomeBox is the solution for connecting and mapping devices via MIDI, Ethernet, WiFi, and USB (without the need of a computer), and now has MIDI 2.0 support. The new update includes MIDI CI Discovery and Property Exchange, allowing BomeBox to announce its presence to other devices, and sharing information about features, settings etc. between devices. Firmware available from Bome website very soon.

The legendary Bome's MIDI Translator. One of the first things I install on every new computer! I honestly didn't know he made hardware too, good stuff!

Excellent stuff from Florian. The Bome MIDI Translator as most reading this will likely know, has been a staple studio tool for decades now. Genius box and very useful, great idea 👍

Incredibly useful device for anyone looking to connect lots of devices. Plus, you can easily extend functionality of midi devices, like making bipolar pots, or having a different cc increment only when you return a pot past 50%.

Is it USB-C yet for charging? Last I checked was micro-USB, which needs to die already

i have an iConnectMIDI4+ it populates the field with my USB over midi boxes, same thing?

I was promised flying cars. I get midi 2.0. 5pin to 3, 5mm adapters. Wow. Type a and b. Please kill 5 pin. What i want now: a midi hub: connect four usb midi controllers to one usb port And put out 3.5mm mididata. Channel routing included.
