Me too, thank you so much. Apparently, the extender wouldn't clone the password from my router and I was getting no where. None of the help on Netgear's pages helped. I was so frustrated I ended up ignoring it for too long to get support from Netgear's helpdesk. When I found your video, I reset the extender (yet again!) and followed your instructions and they worked perfectly. I thought I was going to have to try and buy a network cable to connect the devices manually. Netgear should be using your instructions in their manual, not faffing about with the WPS button. Thank you again.

Checked your video before I bought one here in Canada. Easy:peasy setup as you said. Got to say I’m impressed with the range also. I’m over 100+ ft from the router and through 3 walls. Getting green/amber/red on the router led. But even on red I’m watching tubi on my tv with no buffering. Great product.

I have that same range extender and mine is in a whole another house next door lol and it still works I get my Wi-Fi from my father-in-law's house right now my son has his phone on I have my phone on the Xbox is turned on I have two rokus that are on right now so it works pretty good but it's getting old after 3 years of having it sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back up to get a good connection, I've been trying to figure out how to get in to the settings like the range extender genie where you can change from 2Ghz to 5Ghz I need to change it back to 2GHz because it covers a larger area and a penetrates through solid objects easier and my father-in-law put a huge shed right in between the router and my house . Honestly at this point I think it would be easier to just get my own internet over here cuz I've tried and tried to get into the settings but I cannot figure out how to get there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi, it all worked perfect for me it connected to my wifi and to my phone fine but the WPS light wont turn on, any idea on what I should do...

For anyone in LATE 2024:
Perform the same steps through your phone or tablet. It should trigger a pop up when you select the Netgear EXT network and it will open your phone browser to the exact same setup page with the Dog in this video.

Hi! I’ve watched the whole video and I just have one question. Will this work if my AP is only 5ghz but I want the extender to transmit both 2.4ghz and 5ghz? Thanks!

Got one today and am sending it back. Had a green connection LED, but speed was abysmally slow. I have 300 meg fiber and connecting through the extender I only had 25 megs.

Hi, thanks for the explanation. The booklet instructions were not very clear. I still have an issue tho.. I have followed the instructions and i have the network chosen "_5GEXT" as you say but the WPS button is not lit up at all.. should it be for it to be working properly?

I can’t get the extender to show on wifi. I have factory reset it too. Any ideas?

If wps is off it means security is off wtf does that mean?
