Netgear WiFi Extender Setup Without Website or Computer

How to set up the Netgear WiFi Extender without using a computer or pulling up a website. When I got our Netgear WiFi Extender, I wasted almost and hour trying to configure it by trying to follow Netgear's instructions and attempting to log on to their setup website, entering an IP address, connecting to the extender WLAN....all without success. Instead, I followed the steps in the video and had it setup in about three minutes.

PLEASE NOTE: most of the questions I get involve those with routers that don't have WPS buttons, or those who have non-Netgear routers. In these instances, you may have to upgrade your router and/or purchase a Netgear router to have compatibility with your Netgear extenders. Contact Netgear support to confirm this - I am NOT affiliated with Netgear.

Just a heads up for other users. My router's WPS button wasn't responding. So I logged into my router, and my WPS service was disabled. When I enabled, the extender and router found each other, and BOOM ! ... I was able to connect. I have the Netgear AC1200 Model EX6110.

Probably a stupid question but for example I have bad connection on my TV which is far away from my wifi.. do I connect it to the extender or leave it on the normal wifi?

I have this same one doesnt really boost the wifi very far at all. Our router is at the front of the house and my room is all the way at the back. The only thing that works is if I plug it in right next to the router which pretty much defeats the purpose. Any ideas?
