My boyfriend Christian and I are so excited to share with you that we are moving into a lake house!! It has been our dream to the live on the water, and we are so happy it is finally happening! Before we get started with decorating and room makeovers, I’ll take you around the house for an empty house tour! I am taking you room by room and sharing my design plan and ideas for this new space! I get the logic, but a fancy room rarely gets used in everyday life, its basically reserved for occasions. I would definitely go for a comfortable living area in the room with the view so that you can soak that up all the time. You have to think about how you will have the best quality of life and not just catering to special occasions- so I agree with your thinking there Kristen!

I would definitely make the room with the wall of windows a "formal" livingroom and then the other room the tv room. No distractions from the beautiful view 😍

How about putting the dining table on the side of the main room near the kitchen, and placing the main living space near the fireplace? Put TV in the room without the view for peace, quiet and style. Love your new space, thank you for introducing us to your main squeeze Christian, and have a great time fixing up your new space. Purchase or rental? Reminds me of being young and in love- sigh!

Oh my I'm so jealous the views are breathtaking and the light from all the windows WOW. The size of the rooms are incredible and I would handwash dishes if I had that view. How lucky you are.

House is gorgeous. Why would you not make a sitting room by the fireplace and your dining room right outside your kitchen area. Why walk thru a sitting area with food to get to your table? Just wondered.

Love the house and location! My vote for the room with windows is family room with TV to use all the time. Don’t save the view and room for “fancy” (your word) occasions. Every day is special! Use your fave room all the time!

Murphy bed for the gaming room/ guest room? Adds a feature to the wall, but tucked away when not in use. You would still have room for a couch or recliners. Just a thought.
