I thought this was a fun one, and it includes a little bit of trigonometry!

Some people doomsday prep. I’m prepping for when my daughter comes to me with her high school math homework. Thank you for your videos.

I swear every problems solution just boils down to "make a triangle"

For future viewers, there's the cosine rule for non-right-angle triangles.

And if you aren't allowed to use a calculator, there's also standard trig identities for equilateral and right angle triangles (i.e. the angles will always be the same, and some ratio of sides). E.g. sin(60°) = 2/√3.

Very interesting. I thought it would be really hard as its such an odd area but actually it's pretty doable

Great video! What tools do you use to make those illustrations?

You just covered more than I learned in my entire senior year math in a 3 minute video. 😂

Did I overcomplicate this by using the Heron formula from the last video on this channel that I watched? Yes. Did I realize then then the simpler way shown here actually became important later on? Yes. Welp. This is why I watch. This channel is a fun way to learn, and specifically to learn from your mistakes.

Hey, Andy. I have an idea about, you can try design your YouTube banner with math and leave some track like a line or curve in it, so people know you like doing that.

Idk, it's just an idea. Maybe design it normallly will be easier.

Why do you have to use a calculator for the inverse sine? Isn’t there a way to calculate it by hand?

Okay but what if the Triangle was nit right angle? Then how would i determine the red area?

hey, you didn't pause! What if I wanted to do it myself?! ;)

In the exact expression put the expression in braces and then put m²

you can find the exact eria. the sum of the non-right angles of the triangle is 180 so
factorization is all you need

wait, the answer isn't 69 or 420? shocking!
