This is great. If I had this video when I was trying to learn this mod, I probably would've grasped it much faster. Also, some small tips that come from experimenting with the newest update of the mod, independent from DawnCraft

The enhanced sigil of socketing is pretty useful, it adds another socket to any item you have, but if you roll an item with 3 sockets, only use the socketing sigil after it has max sockets, so you can get four sockets total.

They also did a slight rework of how gems work in the newest update, (again, idk which one DC is using) because now gems come in rarities instead of purity percentages for the most part. So you could potentially get a rare (blue) gem that can be refined to a higher level. I could make a video better explaining this mechanic, but its actually better (but more expensive) to upgrade lower tier gems to higher ones, so they don't get the unique attribute, which prevents you from putting another gem of its type on your armor, tool, or weapon. So if I had a Flawless gem of the Earth on my chestplate, and I had one of Ancient tier that I wanted to add, the unique attribute would prevent me from doing that.

I'll try and make a brief video about this as its probably easier to see what I mean rather than over-explaining. This is a great and direct tutorial video though

There’s a known glitch with this where sometimes when adding a socket onto your gear, the socket doesn’t actually add on to the armour and just gives u stats. It’s weird

For compatibility reasons, I use a modpack in version 1.12.2 and I have a question about the compatibility of Apotheosis with other mods. My more specific questions are involving Tinkers, Blood Magic and Thaumcraft, if I can use the enchantment and gem system with weapons and armor from these mods. Thank you.

The last time i played Apotheosis was 1.16.5, crazy to see how fledged out it is now. Is gem crafting a replacement to the original affix tome book system?

My armor has an empty gem socket but when I place my armor and the gem in the smithing table I'm unable to select the option to upgrade my armor. However, above the outcome window where you're allowed to select a different version, I'm able to see that armor with the gem socketed but I'm unable to select it. Any idea why?
