This song hits the nail on the head with the opening line(s), Midnight on the water, I saw the ocean's daughter...I know exactly what he means

"when Jeff says, "Thank you very much" at the end....so humble.sincere. no sign of ego there in spite of that breathtaking performance. nice to see these days.

every year on this day for since 1996 i have played this song to honor the memory of the most wonderful female i ever met. FUCK cancer. 26 years old is far to young to be yanked away...

Thanks for the wonderful music, Jeff is an absolute giant of music, why he doesn't have a Knighthood is beyond me, the body of work from the 60s Thu the 70s, the people he's produced
& Worked with, Roy Wood, ELO Tom Petty, Dave Stewart, George Harrison, yes George Harrison, The Travelling Wilburies, etc, etc, some of the finest music I've ever heard & such a down to earth bloke, or at least as down to earth as it's possible to be when your that famous. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.

I love so much music from all genres, butI'm realizing that ELO is my favorite group. Thank you All, so much!

My favorite ELO song. I used to work at nights in a repair shop. Everyone would bring in a record album and we would listen to them while working. I always played the Eldorado album, my favorite. I think everyone else in the shop became hard core ELO fans.

My favorite Jeff song ever. Transports me. And this one’s even better than the recording.

I've heard this tune hundreds of times and until now I never realized it was an ode to the moon. They don't write them like this anymore.

What other rock or pop group has ever involved so many different types of musical instruments? I cannot think of any can you?

What a beautiful cymbal / string / piano intro 🥰 Jeff Lynne is a true genius.

This is the first time I've heard Jeff Lynne's voice, as opposed to the synthesized vocals normally generated with ELO songs. What a wonderfull and pure voice he has! I've always been an ELO fan, but this version leaves me a much bigger fan.
