My problem with the whole Tony Hinchcliffe situation is that he clearly used his comedy set for advocacy so it blurs the line between jokes and rhetoric. And for him to try to hide behind the "it's a joke bro" excuse when he was at a political rally standing behind a podium with big "Trump Vance 2024" letters just seems so spineless to me, and I feel that it dilutes the art of comedy. I am really not offended by what Tony said. In fact if he would have straight up said I am a racist and started spewing hateful crap, I would have some respect for him cuz at least he's honest and telling us exactly who he is. But him hiding behind the veil of "I'm comedian" is very weak
