Those tiny warbirds impress me on how they can be for beginners.

The aeroscout is a very capable plane. I love mine. She is tattered and torn. Well just plain beat up. But it's never let me down.

I sold all my planes and cars, into watching grass grow now. Just kidding! You guys helped me get totally into the hobby and not just planes. Thankyou Nate and Abby. You will always be special friends to me. I wish you lived closer. Being part of a club now is really good for me, so many new friends. I find it's more about the fellowship now than just the planes. Having something in common helps but now I can get out and fly with others, something I didn't do until now.

The Aeroscout is definitely #1 on this list! It's a great everyday flyer for all skill levels and you can't beat the price.🦃🦃✈🕹

After all the quadcopter builds, iNav planes, FPV cars....
The good ole UMX Sport Cub S is always ready to go, an absolute smile factory!

You guys are why I love YouTube!

You’re so enthusiastic about flying and give great info on planes. I clearly know NOTHING about them and have decided on a Sport Cub

When I was a kid, my parents bought me a really great model plane. But it wasn’t R/C or Control Line. It had a joystick. It was a car plane.

The plastic plane had a wingspan of about eight inches, and it was mounted on a vertical steel shaft. So you would sit in the back seat of your parent’s car and roll down the window. The plane would go out the window, and then you would roll up the window until it tightened onto a plastic groove. The joystick was inside the car and had a thick wire that went up ten inches, sideways eighteen inches, and then down to the plane. So you would wait until the car was up to at least thirty miles an hour, and then, when you tilted the joystick foreword, the plane outside of the car would climb. You could also dive, and shimmy just a little.

Nowadays there are better fabrication methods, so you could make a car plane that climbs, dives, does barrel rolls, and banks. But no throttle. So kids could sit in the back seat and do acrobatics with the plane. No batteries, no electronics, no instructions. It shouldn’t cost much.

I started flying less then a year ago with the aeroscout, it’s the perfect beginner plane. I’ve progressed quickly and I’m already flying EDF’s. Thanks Nate and Abby for all your awesome videos and reviews! I’ve learned alot from you guys. Have a Very Merry Christmas!

I started off about 20 years ago with a precedent t180 with a thunder tiger engine, built it from a kit, flew it for years but then kind of forgot about rc planes as I grew up, now after seeing this video, it's making me want to get another plane, i didnt realise how cheap they have become!
