New State-Of-The-Art Crosswalk Unveiled In Eagle Rock

Crossing the street is now a little bit safer in the Eagle Rock neighborhood thanks to the debut of a new state-of-the-art crosswalk.

I like how there’s a yellow light before the red.. people will take this more seriously and stop for pedestrians. Usually when I stop for a pedestrian, there’s a car honking behind me because they don’t understand a flashing yellow or flashing red at a crosswalk, so when they go around me, they realize I’m waiting for a slowly walking person, this usually always happens lol. This one seems better.

not what i expected.. was thinking popup barricades. lights are not going to stop an accident.

If it's "state of the art" I would think it has bollards that come up on both sides of the cross walk when it's the pedestrians turn to walk.

Drunk wont see or care about that. You know people still run red lights all the time. Why not also install a hydraulic pole system to stop a speeding car dead in thier tracks?
