Lakers played so poorly that they managed to get the opposing coach fired.
Damn.

They were up by 25 in 4th q against lakers and KAT was still in the game...

Rose is out again with ankle issues. Some of you might think it's just minor, but all these minor injuries build up over the course of a season if you pair it with Thibodeau's idiotic minutes management.
Hopefully the next coach up for the Minny is smart enough to limit Rose's minutes to about 25/game and tough enough to not get carried away by Rose stans to give him more minutes.

I will forever blame tibs for Derrick rose injury. I know the way that Derrick was landing was a bit iffy but if you are winning by 20 + points, your superstar shouldn’t be out there.

I actually think that Thibodeau is responsible for ruining Rose’s career

Coach, can you do a breakdown on Derrick White next please? The dude has been balling.

You missed the main reason. Thibs coached as if it was still 2005 and never allowed his players to adapt to the new nba and shoot 3s. Posting up with Taj Gibson and towns and throwing up miracles will never work.

Actually I am surprised he lasted this long at his head coaching jobs. His style may have worked well in the 80s, but no NBA player ever wants to be treated like a child. Your summary hit the nail on the head. Thibs has a great basketball mind, but being the Head Coach is not really in his calling card.

You forgot about Lou Deng, Tibs killed that man worse in Chicago lol

Good riddance, don't forget he blew out Zach Lavine's knee after making play an absurd amount of minutes as well a few seasons ago. Hope he never coaches again with all the knees he's taking with him.

There's absolutely no way Derrick Rose should have been on the court during that blowout win during the 2011-12 season.

Thibs is a great example of a brilliant mind who will be smarter than his head coach, but needs the head coach to handle the people side of the job. I see him as a similar coach to Josh McDaniels in the NFL--brilliant mind, but is best suited as an elite OC, not head coach.

*Absolute worst coach in the NBA.* His practice skirmishes are comparable to military training in harshness. Ruined Rose's knees with back to back injuries, almost killed Luol Deng after suffering from past injuries and making him play with a torn wrist ligament on 39 minutes a night and destroyed Joakim Noah through injuries and not developing his jumpshot. *I hope this man is never seen in an NBA court EVER AGAIN.*

3 yrs later with the Knicks... Rose injured again. RJ got injured with 30secs remaining in yhe game, down 15pts. Randle, Fournier, Grimes and Mitch playing 40+ minutes and almost injured his ankle again. Obi, Cam played 8mins each, Deuce and Sims 0mins vs the youngest team in the league led by 2 rookies. SMH. Fire the dinosaur, Leon.

Never understood why Thibs seemed to favor running his offense in the half court rather than pushing the ball. Especially when he had players like Zach Lavine, Wiggins, and KAT.

For someone that has the reputation as a "grinder", it always struck me as weird how overweight he is. Dude straight up looks unhealthy.

I think some coaches are better off as assistant coaches. Like thibs and mike brown

The fact that Tyronn Lue could imitate Tom really speaks volumes...

I hope Thibs never coaches in the NBA. Enough of him running players into the ground

Not surprised Thibs got the ax, same issues that got him fired in Chicago surfaced with the T-wolves.
