Taxpayers in Parliament fighting politicians who want fat pensions

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation was in a Parliamentary Committee pushing back against politicians who want to delay the next election so dozens of MPs can take a pension they don't deserve.

Bravo! I worked 20 years as a member of the RCMP and the pension at age 60 would have amounted to $1700 before taxes and then at 65 the CPP that I also paid into my entire working life would be subtracted from that. Changing the date of the election for this purpose is disgraceful and brings into question the true motivation of our elected officials.

The citizens of the MP's should be voting if their MP's will get a raise or a pension. And the tax money should come from the citizens they represent.
We will then see how of these "civil servants" will really serve their citizens.
