In a young patient with a congenitally missing lateral incisor, sometimes substituting the canine is a good aesthetic option. The canine is brought forward and reshaped to take the place of the missing lateral incisor.

is this ok to do on one side, as the top molar rests on the lower one vs the other way around ? Will there by asymmetry caused on the cheekbones/facial structure because of this?

it is not correct to place elastics in class 3 if the patient has increased overjet. This case is a class 2 malocclusion
