I tried a side flip off of a low retaining wall and got a triple lower spinal compression in my back and it was the most pain ever, these videos are great to learn, just saying guys be safe and smart

Dude. I am new subscriber. I grew up in Taekwando with people that just told me to do this and that. They would round off back full twists in front of my 7 year-old-self and say it's like that but don't twist. Of course, l did and learned a very hard way. My first backflip was standing still, landing on my neck regularly, just hammering it out without guidance cause that was definitely beneath me asking a black IV how to land a basic backflip. Fortunately, I wasn't paralyzed. Round offs at least double your "plant" power to get into rotation. When you practice right before the end, you can see your arms have to stay down just to stay vertical because there is so much momentum there. Though, I feel most beginner's should learn backflip on a trampoline, it is much easier with the round off.
I'm now 29 with the internet at my fingers (mid 90s were meh), and you are identifying steps like the makakau that I never learned, but instinctively know now. I think how much easier it would have been if I had that middle step.
I can still round off backflips, illusion flips, and cheat gainers (apparently what most are called now but mine is an illusion where you jump off your base foot... not sure what that style of Illusion Flip is called [If someone knows please fill me in]) and you are inspiring me to get back into it.
Just want to give you the props you deserve on such an important fundamental. You seem to learn as you go along, though you are far advanced, but can identify and explain what is easily overlooked.
Your videos are how I feel as I stumble through an hour long Aerospace or Fluid Mechanics lecture yet... somehow I get 4.6/5 average ratings and have students rearrange their schedules to take several years of my course's. I don't fully understand why but maybe this is it. You should be a teacher or professor in the future. Breaking down the seemingly complicated into naturally, digestible, discrete steps. It's not a skill that everyone has.
