This is a prime example of reading verses and not reading chapters if you actually read the chapter then it clearly talks about how the Jews stopped listening to the prophets of Yahweh and turned their way to the idols of Baal

I read this verse in about six translations including three Jewish translations. The Jewish translations added ink to the water to make it dark to see up or down. I feel so bad for the followers of these religions - the meanings are completely changed in each version
