I was a tanker and light reconnaissance for over 20 years. With everything we learned about other tanks, those were probably the most overall versatile tanks out there. Like a cross between a M1 and a Bradley. They are badass for sure.

It has become one of my most favorite tanks, they have made a Merkava MK5 now called the Barak(Lightning in Hebrew) which has a helmet that the tank commander wears and he can see through the tank, its like the helmets fighter jet pilots wear, it also has other improvements to the tech and I think the armor aswel

I always thought the Merkava looked futuristic. It reminds me of the UNSC from Halo. Halo 2 anniversary specifically.

There is a door on the back of the tank. Usually the crew will use it to enter and exit, as well as load stores and ammunition. In a pinch, it can grab up some infantry as well. They should have included this feature on the M10 Booker.

Gotta love the chains hanging from the back of the turret. I definitely see resemblance with the predator.😅

I like the turn signal. Ie aim that way and go. The Merkava is a war machine that was built with crew survival in mind.

Just standing next to one with the engine just running on idle speed is enough to make you feel the humming of the engine deep in your chest.
