Israel Merkava Tank | Ground Operation Vehicle

This is the Israeli Merakava with a Modular armor system that could be easily replaced when damaged. Interestingly This is one of the few tanks with an engine located at the front for protection

When the driver turns this steering to the right, it disengages the clutch on the left track, causing it to slow down, while the right track continues to move at a constant speed.

This variance in track speed results in the tank turning to the left.

We will also be looking at the basic step-by-step process of firing this tank using the one-of-a-kind Lahat missile system that can track and destroy enemies fired from this smooth-bore gun.

The infantry capacity comes from a misunderstanding/secondary use of a pallet bay for quickly reloading the main gun. It is of course a space. Most of the time it would be to carry more shells such as plopping in the next pallet of many shells quickly. The crew can drive off and do the loading into the ammunition bays elsewhere (possibly while on the drive back to the front). This reduces the time exposed and quicker reload near the front. This keeps the tank's tempo up resulting in more shots fired at the enemy over a period of time. Carrying people there means not having the ammo pallet.

Really amazing work. It's fascinating seeing all that goes into these machines but also scary knowing that it's mostly used for fighting a civilian population most of which are children.

Gunner and Loader are switched. As you can see in the turret, the ammo in the Turret End is on the right-side looking at the tank as you have it in the video, not accessible for the "loader" sitting low to the TC ;-) So, as in all western Tanks, you have the TC, lower of him the gunner and on the other side the loader with the most space, cause he has to handle the ammo.
