You really don’t have to apologise nor justify why you didn’t sleep in your dorm. You came there for an exam so you want to make sure that you are in an environment that makes you feel comfortable and well rested and really who could relax in a room where you don’t know about multiple legged surprise visitors.

I'm genuinely wondering where all these bugs could have come from in a few weeks only... Clearly they had a way in and no way out, but that a lot of them! The accomodation managers should check the roofs and walls for possible issues
Were they all the same kinds of bugs?

Sadly German student homes are not really known to be the cleanest but I lived in one and your room is really next level. Really don't wanna know where they come from tbh sadly you never know who had the room before you and some people are honestly just disgusting as I had to experience. This is like my worst fear coming true - entering my room thinking I'll be able to make myself comfy in my bed and then being confronted with bugs everywhere. So glad you were able to book a hotel, totally understand you I could've not have a good night of sleep in this room! Think you honestly handled the situation waaay better than I would have 😅
