Given the bugs in the city of tears immediately sink when they fall into the water, it's implied that the bugs of Hallownest are a lot larger than normal bugs, since the water can instantly leak into their spiracles and drown them, while normal size bugs would float on the surface for a while. Plus stuff like rain looks to be the same size in relation to the setting as it would be to a human-scale setting, instead of each droplet being nearly the size of the bugs.
