Top 5 Most Horrifying Hitchcock Horror Movies

Top 5 Scariest David Lynch Movies

Alfred. Hitchcock. The Undisputed Master of Horror. A filmmaker who effortlessly guided the hand of horror cinema in it’s halcyon days--and whose unique blend of suspense and genuinely horrifying human motifs of fear led the way for an entire generation of horror fans and filmmakers alike. My favourite line about Hitchcock, is his description of cinematic suspense. Picture two men sitting beside a table. They’re talking at length for minutes on end--and then suddenly a bomb explodes from beneath them. Game over. Pretty surprising, but oh well. But now--picture that scene again, but this time--the audience knows exactly what’s underneath the table--but the two men don’t--and the bomb keeps on ticking. It’s a simple equation--but boy, has it done the trick

Frenzy!
A very under rated masterpiece
It needed to be in that list perhaps instead of #5, Rear Window.

Fun fact: In The Birds- Mitch’s little sister, Cathy, is played by the one and only Veronica Cartwright in her first full length horror film role, having previously starred in two episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and an episode of the Twilight Zone. Her next role in a full length horror film would be Invasion of the Body Snatchers in 1978, before going on to star as Joan Lambert- Navigator of the ship Nostromo, in Ridley Scott’s 1979 cosmic horror, Alien.
(I know, I’m a living IMDb database...)

Wonderful. I would still like to see a Vincent Price episode.

I know it's more of a thriller/mystery, but Shadow of a Doubt is one of Hitchcock's best and most underrated films. I love your horror list, Jack.

This is my favorite video from this channel in a very long time. Psycho is by far one of most favorite horror psychological thrillers. Seems ahead of its time chocolate syrup and all. Keep up the great work.

Frenzy, Dial M for Murder, Rope, Marnie. All more horror than Vertigo.

The Birds is the reason why I'm low-key afraid of a flock of birds now.

I've only watched 3 Alfred Hitchcock films (Psycho, The Birds, and Rear Window) but so far my favourite is Rear Window.

After Psycho, watch Psycho 2, its super underrated. And why not continue with the other 2 sequels? They're good, not amazing but good.

Jack you’re the first one to say what I’ve always felt about the scariest scene in Psycho. Most say the shower scene, but I agree with you.
