The problem is worse than that. My neighbor brought my attention to this. Watch how many commercials now portray the white man as the buffoon or the weak one, and either the black person or white woman as the smart and strong one (even in this clip). It's soooo obvious. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. This whole social justice narrative is why I only watch YouTube.

Part of Bud Light's problem is that their marketing rep literally belittled their base while expressing their plans to pursue Gen Z and the trans community. This commercial just reinforced their distain for their once-loyal customers by stereo-typing them as stupid, bumbling idiots. If they thought this was going to make their damaged relationship better, they just don't get it. They act as though they want to destroy their brand.

The commercial looks more like they are mocking the people who used to buy their product. This commercial is more of a "you guys are dumb hicks" jab; nobody is laughing or buying their beer.
