In this video we went on an excursion with Norwegian Cruise Line to explore Mazatlán, Mexico. This tour was the Mexican Show, Shopping & Sightseeing tour and took us to the top attractions in the city. I also shared a few of the other activities and attractions you could do in the area if you're visiting.

Explore the heart and soul of Mazatlan and be amazed by Mexico´s ancient culture and Post-Hispanic era. Your tour will begin by stopping at Vigia Hill for a perfect view of the world’s highest natural Lighthouse, offshore islands and Mazatlan’s scenic coast line. Then, ride through the city’s historic center for a visit to the 19th-century cathedral. Take a short drive to see the famous cliff divers. Next, enjoy a show at the Spectaculare Theatre, the history of Mexico with a semblance of Mayan rituals and their prophecies combined with the most representative folkloric dances. A complimentary drink will be offered at the show venue. After the show, you’ll have some free time to shop in the Golden Zone.

We just got off the Norwegian Joy...which had the same itinerary. Unfortunately, we didn't really find any of the port stops all that compelling and actually stayed on the ship most of the time. I'd be interested to see what you thought of Ensenada. It looked like the major "excursion" was taking a quick boat ride around the port area. From the ship we saw a huge number of small boats full of passengers that just basically circled around the port. It seemed very odd...

WIth that said, a port stop day is a *wonderful* way to enjoy the ship. You avoid the hordes of people getting off the ship and basically have the entire ship to yourself ( it feels that way anyways ). I tend to like to do the opposite of what people do of cruise ships...and it ends up being a much better time overall.

What a gorgeous Cathedral! Did I miss something happening to your boy? He's walking around with a cane. Everything alright? What a lovely beach, I am so down for some sun. A lot of places to eat and drink. Bummer about the tour being so short. That's one of the biggest reasons I've yet to go on a cruise. Got to get a photo of the sign. I want to climb that mountain. Well done.

This was an interesting episode. It would be cool to experience an active port, but not what I would expect on a cruise.

Even though the tour was primarily on a bus you were able to show us some pretty cool places. The cathedral was gorgeous 😍

Despite all the bad things that are talked about in the media in the media... Mexico is beautiful and has so much to offer. There are many bad things but there are many good ones as well... I feel so proud of my country. i have been to many places in Mexico and I have loved each and every one of them.
