Dude, it failed solely because of the price.
It cost double that of the PlayStation and THREE times more then the N64.
No one is buying into a new system from a company new to the business when it's that expensive.

Microsoft managed to break into the console market because they sold the Xbox at the same price as the PS2. They also had the benefit of being a household name in the tech and gaming business because of Windows and games development.

My grandpa had a friend who had one of these. I’ve never got to play on it though. He gave the console to my grandpa about 4-5 years ago. My grandpa plugged it in but it didn’t work. Which would’ve been cool.
