Yes unfortunately most of the lead parts and solos from Sam are playback, to Herman is a bit less, he mostly improvise some sweep picking... I really don't understand why Sam uses a lot of playback even in simple stuff

That is lame as hell man. I also just recently bought a ticket for a show next year and I've never seen them live. I never knew they pulled shit like this until I stumbled upon a couple of reddit posts.

they have been using playback for ever, but since EPM came out they are using a lot more.

In fairness, not EVERY part of their live shows are faked.

There's a fun video of their computers behind the scenes failing, and Marc missed his cue to come back after the Soldiers solo.

Not only was he absolutely singing live, so were Alicia and Billy. I'd check that out to see how Marc recovers. As well, it's highly possible Marc is using a backing track, or it's also possible he's well rehearsed and consistent.

Coming from my background of musical theatre, it's quite common to sing songs identically on each show. Doing 4 or 5 shows a week, you sort of just fall into a rhythm.
