Aunty came in and shook your hand anyway lmao. Depends on age too, some of the older folks don’t care about this rule when greeting the youngsters.

In MOST of Muslim countries BOTH genders hold this rule. It is not just women who can’t touch the opposite gender. The rule goes out the window in a case of emergency situations. The only issue I have with this religious rule in these countries is it is not by choice OR is heavily SHAMED upon, especially towards women. Hence why the woman at the end grabbed his hand, she should have a right to choose for herself her practice and not be shamed or be controlled by any governed body.

Very good line.
Empowerment doesnt mean to come in direct contact!!

This is women empowerment. She doesn't want to shake hand. That's her choice ❤

That’s REALLY cool that the older woman was the one to show it is okay. So much respect not only for the ladies but for Seal to post these interactions and show the simple truth which is we all just want to be free and happy and even when we’re bound to uncanny rules, we still manage to make the best of it.

She's empowered enough to say no to you. And men follow this rule too while greeting the opposite gender others. Kindly fix your definition of empowerment. You cannot force it on anyone who associates with a different culture or religion. There are some (both muslim and non-muslim) cultures that clearly prefer bowing down over handshaking/hugging/touching of any kind.

You can be empowered but at the same time don't shake hand, here in indonesia a lot of smart woman, has master or phd, but they don't shake hand other men

We can say her a religious who follows the tradition but can't tell her a truly empowered. To be empowered, one must challenge traditional beliefs.

Poland has changed so much during last years that people are returning, and even regreting leaving. As a Pole I’m proud of my country and how we by our own work make it decent. On the other hand people in Britain still lives by stereotypes, friend of my was mocked in work because she told her mother in law who wanted to visited Europe that she will take her to Poland. 😂 I personally know uk citizens seriously considering moving here on the other hand. Because it’s cleaner, safer and developing.

Without saying who is right and who is wrong, I would just say not everyone has the same concept of empowerment. I respect Seal's point of view that he extended his hand like meeting an equal, but same respect should be given to the woman as well for having her religious boundaries.
