For a short time, I was a "prayer partner" at TBN. - I worked part time, at night, and was a volunteer. I got a call from a woman with a problem that I ALSO had at one time, so I was able to help her. She was SO grateful she said - paraphrase - I am going to make a big donation to TBN for this! And I felt like saying "TBN didn't help you, GOD did." But that's how it was...

My mother sent money to some of these crooked people. It's interesting because what they do is the opposite of Jesus. Jesus said, "Sell your possessions and give to the poor." These prosperity pastors do just the opposite. They literally take from the poor. When I look at Daystar's programming, I see that it is littered with ministries that do this very thing.

That's exactly what happened to me I was crying as I was giving out my details ( I remember it was Pastor Jentezen who was preaching i will never forget)I really had nothing I was drawing in debts I pledged for the next 12 months by the 9th or 10th month I was down to nothing I could hardly get by as a results I had to reverse the last payment...86.01 dollars per month. I'm in South Africa - I never recovered. All i can say is Lord have mercy on me😢

My mother donated to one of these prosperity ministries. She didn't have the income to do so. We had to intercede. She was getting solicitation mail from several different ones. They must share their donor lists. The absolute greed was astonishing. Sheesh.

When I worked at Daystar and had calls like that I always refused to take their money. Problem was, they would hang up and call back and get someone else who would take it.

I don’t think I could have done it. After one call like that I couldn’t have stood another second there. It’s terrifying to put your faith to the test when it means walking away and having no income. Im sure she felt so overwhelmed with a little one on the way. The greed going on with her bosses was off the charts.

My poor elderly widowed mother also believed and donated and extirted by Daystar. Eventually was extorted by my younger and so-called christian siblings. Then they rushed her to her death thru hospice. Daystar is leading many believers astray and are an evil example to all christianity. Because they totally shun 1John 3:4 and have made themselves gods.

Years ago I used to watch "christian" networks (I didn't know any better) at one point in my life I was very low on money and needed encouragement and prayers...I called (yes, I will name the "ministry") marilyn hickey ministries....the person on the phone didn't care about me and kept asking for $50 donation. I understood then that money is THEIR GOD. Prosperity theology is of SATAN !
Trust in the Lord, seek HIM, obey HIM. The LORD has provided beyond what we need in my family. We live by FAITH !!!
