Joni Lamb's Employee: Why I Left Daystar (Part 2: The Maserati)

To be "charitable," it's possible Marcus Lamb purchased the Maserati from private funds, not the ministry account. Or used the ministry funds, then reimbursed, like Joni allegedly did for her $100,000 honeymoon. There would need to be an independent audit to know exactly what happened with certainty.

But ministry watchdog Trinity Foundation found financial records of Lamb salaries (Marcus and Joni). These indicate either could afford a Maserati because they were excessive. Point being even if Marcus didn't steal funds from the Daystar account to buy the Maserati, he was enriching himself from his salary provided by donations to Daystar.

Marcus could have simply just done a Maserati Telethon asking all contributors to help him get a new fast car. Joni could have held a Mansion Telethon asking her audience to help her buy a new mansion, or two, if they were feeling especially generous. Trinity revealed she has two mansions on the same street.

Want to get rich? Go to America, set up a church, preach about money tithing and giving, open a tv channel, preach money tithing and giving. It’s a sales pitch where tithes and donations fund million dollar lifestyles of the leader and his/her family. The ‘charity’ work enables the organisation to stay ‘legitimate’ to the naked eye.

Strait is the gate and narrow is the way. This is so sad, but true. I attended one of the first revivals Marcus Lamb held after he graduated from Lee University. He was definitely anointed and God did a lot of wonderful things through the ministry of Marcus, at that time. Satan desires to sift us all and place our desires on the things of this world. We have to pray that our faith fails us not. Thank you for obeying God and sharing the things you witnessed.

This is a perfect example for why even Jonathan and Suzy probably should not be in charge of DayStar, either. Both of them were on the payroll for many years before 1) the SA allegedly happened, and 2) For even longer than that before Joni married a man who had just divorced his wife of over 30 years.

My point is that Jonathan and Suzy were almost certainly living a very rich lifestyle years before any problem arose. Did they speak up about the Lamb family's financial excesses back then? Not that I know of.
