My mom used to sing this to me when she got me ready for school. It came on the radio and I remember how she sang and danced around the room. She passed when I was 9. This was her song. Happy Mothers Day, Mom

This played a huge part in our senior trip in 1963, as we went to NY and they said with a class of all girls but 4 boys and they said the girls could not leave the hotel unless one of us boys was with them. Now, you might look at me today and wonder but at that time I was 130 lbs of skin and bones. Now, how did they think that I was going to protect them, as I am sure all of them could have put me in my place at any moment. So, I will never forget this 1963 song and how it went into your banquet 50 years later to speak about the orders the girls got during our high school trip 50 years before.... I am posting it today on our 60th year to still celebrate our class.... I still love it.

Peggy March appeared here on the Perry Como Show, the date was April 24, 1963. Three days later her cover of "I Will Follow Him" leaped to the top of the Billboard charts. She would never have another #1 song but it didn't matter. She would move to Europe and have a stellar career and amass a great fortune. On this night though she became America's sweetheart.

Happy 75th birthday Peggy yesterday March 8th, such a powerful voice, even with the recording equipment back then and no auto tuning either, still a fantastic song .
