Reprints getting announced before prismatic evolutions even gets released is wild. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

The reprint is probably not coming as soon as possible. But smart by pokemon. Tell everyone there’s a reprint coming so scalpers are forced to undercut each other and lower prices so they’re not holding the bag. This move helps the fans/enthusiasts and crippling the resellers.

We're already seeing ETBs selling in the low 100s high 90s and we're still 2 days away from release. People starting to undercut each other to make the quick tendies before its more readily available.

Didn't pokemon also said something like that during 2021? It took a while, but they printed everything very heavily after they said that, so we could see massive reprints for at least Surging Sparks and every set that is releasing and mooning out of the gate

Great. This is what we needed to hear. Only way to stop scalping is to meet the demand. Most scalpers don't have infinite amounts of cash.

Supply takes a while to increase, but demand drops instantaneously. No collector who’s anticipating a reprint is going to shell out the current asking price for an ETB, if they know they can get it 3x cheaper if they wait a few months. Let’s add to that the fact that a lot of the demand for resold product doesn’t even come from collectors, but from resellers (who think the set has even more to grow in the short term) and investors. Neither of whom are going to want to buy that product at the inflated price point if they anticipate a price drop.

This is perfect timing because a lot of the pre orders have already shipped, so if it crashes, then these bot users are going to get destroyed. They won't have the opportunity to cancel, so they will be forced to dump the product.

Agreed. It didnt make financial sense to buy something at 3X above MSRP when it will eventually crash later to regular price.

Also we should nickname the fake collectors, the Twilight Masqueraders. 😂

I think the secondary market will gobble up any reprints just based on the sheer demand. Unless they literally flood the market constantly and consistently, I don't think the market will 'crash'. Dip a little maybe, but can't see it crashing.

If they print the journey together booster bundle like crazy, I want to buy as many as possible if its under msrp. I want to fill a swimming pool with those promo cards, make a wall of them so I can just look at them when I'm having coffee

Thank you for sending out the message! I'm definitely going to wait it out until the reprint comes out to buy at MSRP. I just like collecting cards and actually live near several stores with pokemon center vending machines for which I'm really thankful for.

hopefully this all comes to fruition, i still had trouble finding 151s anywhere and just decided to skip that set. Surging and prismatic have been awful so hopefully they fix at least those and things coming out next.

I'm happy with my 2 PC Prismatic ETBs. Also your correct vivid and battle styles are definitely a decent investment at this point . snagged just a case of each . That way I atleast have some down the road win or not .
