How to move off smoothly without stalling your car. It sounds like a simple thing to do, but when you are under pressure and trying to learn how to drive on your driving lessons for the first time, it will tend to go wrong.
So in this video I will explain every stage what you need to do to be able to move off smoothly and at the same time no stalling of the car. I will also cover what mistakes most people when learning to drive do wrong on their driving lessons at the start. Such as stalling the car to kangarooing the car.

Don’t be ashamed ppl. My muscle memory plays tricks on me, I’ve been driving for 2 years, sometimes my first gear stop and go is rough some days

Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. That phrase was my motto while I was learning manual. You just can't be worrying about everyone behind you. As long as you're not going egregiously slow and keeping up with the speed limit its their problem if they want to gun it after every stop sign and red light. Learn to be smooth and speed comes naturally

I definitely have to practice this. I’m still very nervous taking off, fearing I’m gonna stall. This definitely helps, thanks!

takes forever to learn. my job holds up so much of my time I only drive it to and from work. which is not enough of a distance to really know the car

Thank you from Atlanta, Georgia! You saved my newly minted 16 year old a lot of frustration with your shifting technique! I give you all the credit for him finally figuring out how to drive a manual!

As with others learning to drive a manual transmission have mentioned, going to 1st from a dead stop has also been my biggest issue. I can't tell you how valuable this video has been in my learning process. I couldn't wait to get back in my Jeep and practice this. It worked so well I couldn't believe it! Thanks a ton for this video, I (and we) really appreciate it!

This is definitely one of the most difficult bits to learn when starting to drive and I’ve been struggling to be able to find that perfect balance point between clutch and gas to move off smoothly, , it doesn’t help with an over cautious passenger seat driver yelling at everything either😅😅 this has definitely helped me get the idea of it and I’m excited to try and get out to practise moving off again

I found clutch rock hard too at first, moved to an automatic which was excellent and was more relaxed. Moved back to a manual when local driving school closed and struggled in another automatic instructors car. Could also only move up the gears and took ages to learn how/when to come down. When it clicked, much more enjoyable. Nice video

I think when learners correctly set the gas and come up to bite the car sometimes starts to move earlier and more suddenly than expected. This throws you back into your seat a tiny bit and both the clutch and gas pedals come up together slightly. This is not what you want. To counteract the problem I like to add a little more gas to the set gas amount as soon as the vehicle moves and continue coming up with the clutch.

I was really glad i found this video. I was figuring out how to move off in my Honda Jazz gen 2 smoothly and consistently. Just imagine how happy I was seeing that this tutorial features the very same car 😊. Thank you
