A new study recently published in The Journal of the American Medical Association shows that people who undergo weight loss surgery may have the upper hand in warding off heart attacks, strokes and early death. Internist and nutritionist Dr. Melina Jampolis warns that diet and lifestyle still matter and not everyone should jump to surgery.
