Beautiful powerful voice. I remember when I first heard this song years ago, I just wanted to hear it, over and over again. Through the years, its never lost its greatness, and when out somewhere, and its played, I've often look around and at least 90 percent of the people there, are either singing it, or mumbling some of its lyrics. His voice and the song are both iconic. Brilliantly written, brilliantly sung.

At 15 years old, this song was played by a radio programme I listened too, as their final tune. Every night in the winter of 1992 I would listen to this song and every night the song captivated me and made me cry.

Saw them life at Pinkpop 1996, in the poring rain. He wore a yellow raincoat. After Radiohead we all ran to the other stage to see Rage Against The Machine. It was awesome. Awesome to be a teen in the 90s.
