More than 200 people have been arrested at the University of California, Los Angeles, with hundreds of police officers filing into the Los Angeles campus overnight and dismantling a pro-Palestinian camp.

Following a declaration from the university that the encampment was unlawful, officers wearing body armour tore down tents and removed protesters over several hours.

It brings the total number of nationwide arrests in relation to student protests to more than 2,000.

Joe Biden has condemned the protests, saying that although free speech is a fundamental American principle, it does not include "the right to cause chaos."

In the court of public opinion, we can choose characterization "A" (1:03) or characterization "B" (2:02).
