No one has produced credible evidence to substantiate the allegation that Hezbollah was behind the attack in the Golan Heights, but for the sake of argument, let’s assume that Hezbollah did it.

What does this attack have to do with “Israel’s security”?

None of the victims was an Israeli citizen. Moreover, the Golan Heights belongs to Syria. Even the Canadian government recognizes that it is Syrian territory and that Israel’s annexation of the Golan is illegal.

Ultimately, this attack does not constitute an attack on Israel or Israelis. Therefore, it does not implicate Israel’s legitimate security interests.
