The incredible thing is; he's still practically just a baby. If as he matures he gets to the point where he recognizes it's work and starts readily handing over his kills, you my friend may rewrite the book on the intelligence and reasoning ability of reptiles.

I know he has a long way to go, but the fact that he made a split second decision to do what's fun (chasing another mouse) over what's in his best interest (swallowing a meal that was a sure thing) is already proof that there's a lot more going on upstairs than just instinctively doing what it takes to survive.

Watching him effortlessly scale the cage to chase a mouse vertically was absolutely amazing! He’s so incredibly fast and agile, and clearly very intelligent. He’s clearly having a lot of fun doing what nature designed him to do. What an amazing addition to the pest control team!

Can’t believe he climbed that wire fencing to go for a catch, absolute killer. Great instincts especially in such a new and disorienting environment. He’s really changed from quite a timid lizard to a confident hunter with your training and support.

Joseph Carter is the closest thing we have to a real life Pokémon trainer. Just farming Ratata.

This is the first recorded evidence of humans using a trained Lizard to hunt. Youtube historians are grateful

Many years ago, I was a young man living in a crappy apartment. The roaches were so bad, I tried everything, bombs, traps, etc. Someone suggested getting a Tokay Gecko. I bought one and let it loose in my apartment. Within a week, I had a fat Gecko and no roaches.

I legitimately thought that this would be impossible. I didn’t think there was any way that a monitor lizard could be trained to hunt mice like predatory mammals. I’m so happy to be proven wrong. This is honestly incredible.

I imagine that Raptor is quite happy with his job. He gets paid in mice, and gets to snack on the job. It’s a win-win. Also the fact that Raptor is EXTREMELY
mobile, being able to chase mice up walls and all of that, makes him one of the BEST Rodent hunters I’ve ever seen.

Not even going to lie, it was dope when Raptor climbed that wall after the rat.

Mouse: climbs the fencing to try and escape
Raptor: "I don't have such weaknesses."

At this point, I believe Joseph Carter could train a mouse to kill a rat.

Pound for pound that’s one the quickest, most agile predators i’ve ever seen. Imagine if alligators or larger animals could move like this.

You can tell how intelligent he is! Look how quickly he adapted and figured out that the water meant there was going to be possible prey. At first he was scared of the hose and water but then he got confident QUICK!

I never thought a Lizards could have such an aggressive prey drive. It's like watching a dinosaur hunt.
