How would a blade expire in a sealed package? Is it not “sanitized” anymore? Generally curious

If the blades are sealed, sanitary and since there's no rust forming since it should be stainless steel or high carbon steel (its protected from air or water not by oil like knifes or swords but by the packaging)

Now, question why if these blades are sealed are their expiration dates for any other reason but to protect doctors from lawyer liability or just a way to make hospitals have to buy more blades which causes the hospital to charge more money.

I had an asprin at a hospital, and it cost me 200 bucks for a 200mg acemetophin that costs less than 1 dollar for 2 pack at the store, so I understand the markup in the medical industry. I've done work fir hospital executives, and they spend money like it's their job to buy everything they see for 600 percent of the asking price.
